We are looking to fill the position of Senior SW Engineer — User Experience/Web GUI Development.

Overview of the Role:
As a member of the ViVOtech technical team, the Sr. SW Engineer for User Experience role will anchor the activities that design the Customer Experience and develop the GUIs for ViVOtech software products.

Components of the role include:

• Implement user interfaces (70% of job)
• Work with team to design the user experience the detail GUI for the products
• Write specifications/case studies for the interface
• Potentially manage other individuals that will implement the GUIs

Requirements and Selection Criteria:
Required experience:

• 7+ years experience
• Strong individual contributor
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Deep experience in developing compelling web interfaces using AJAX, Flash, JavaScript, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with one or more MVC frameworks using PHP, RoR, JSF, Spring WebFlow/MVC, Grails, etc.
• Significant experience building high-performance interfaces for high-performance systems
• Significant knowledge of utilizing authentication and authorization services into a UI
• Strong understanding of and experience with large-scale distributed systems

Desired experience:

• Experience with any UI toolkits/libraries such as Yahoo! UI, ExtJS, Django, Google WebToolkit, jQuery, etc.
• Managing (or working with) a remote/offsite web development team
• Proven UX design
• Mobile UX design
• Strong writing skills, excellent communication skills

Education:
MS Computer Science
