We are looking to fill the position of Firmware Engineer - Linux.

Overview of the Role:
As a member of the Firmware Engineering group, the candidate will be involved in designing and developing drivers on Embedded Linux OS on an ARM9 processor; working with a cross-compilation tool-chain and cross-debugging environment, writing loadable kernel modules and incorporating them into various services.

Requirements and Selection Criteria:

• 10+ years of experience in C/C++ design and development.
• 10+ years of driver development experience
• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing Embedded Linux OS drivers.
• Experience developing on ARM processor is required.
• Experience using debugging tools, such as JTAG, is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are mandatory.
• Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and schedules is a must.
• Excellent debugging skills and knowledge of interaction between hardware and firmware.

Desirable (but not required) Skills:

• Common cryptographic algorithms and their usage.
• Graphical User Interface (GUI) development
• TCP/ IP stack working and common networking protocols
• WiFi
• Bluetooth

Excellent communication skills are important as is the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education:
BS/MS Computer Science.
